I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Entergy (Jackson, MS) in July 2014
Interview
Applied in June 2014 and was contacted in less than two weeks. Scheduled an interview at the headquarters in Jackson, MS with the Director of Nuclear Fuels two weeks after I was called. They payed for all travel expenses, including food and a rental car. The interview was with the Director as well as two other engineers. The interview was behavioral and there was not a lot of technical questions asked. They showed me around the office and introduced me to everyone who I potentially would have been working with. The four of us went to lunch afterwards. It was a pretty good experience. I was notified 10 days later I did not get the job.

I applied online. I interviewed at Entergy (Birmingham, AL) in June 2026
Interview
I interviewed for the Relay Settings & Configuration Engineer entry level position. The process consisted of a single panel interview with three interviewers, including supervisors and a relay settings engineer.
The interview was focused entirely on behavioral questions, covering topics such as managing customer expectations, adapting to change, handling constructive feedback, solving problems, and helping or mentoring coworkers. The questions were based on real work situations and gave me the opportunity to discuss experiences from previous roles.
The interviewers were professional, friendly, and easy to talk to, which helped create a comfortable atmosphere throughout the interview. The conversation felt structured and relevant to the responsibilities of the position.
At the end of the interview, I was informed that this was the only interview round and that I should expect an update within about two weeks.
Overall, it was a straightforward and well-organized interview process that focused on understanding how candidates approach workplace challenges, teamwork, and customer service.

Customers can be very demanding.Tell me about a time when you had to manage customer expectations in order to avoid unreasonable commitments?
Interviewed with the supervisor and manager and separately had lunch with the team. all behavioral questions. they had the mindset that if you have the right personality to match our team we can teach you the job and it made me comfortable.
Good folks. Standardized questions. Very helpful. I could see myself working there. Take a look at what they offer. Location is a plus for me. Allow hybrid work depending on the role.
