I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Jan 2023
Interview
4 Rounds Round 1: Phone Screen - Current employee at Epic called me on my cell phone, asked me a few in questions including why I might want to join, my interest in problem-solving, etc. Round 2: About 2 hours worth of recorded online assessments, including a logic test, math test, adaptive learning test Round 3: 3.5 hours on a Zoom call where you learn about the company (drink the Koolaid), learn about your position specifically, then do a case study (mine was on balancing client needs in a small window). Lastly I talked with a recruiter. The recruiter did say that you'll get a response within 1-2 weeks and if you receive an offer the company will bring you out to the campus in Wisconsin on their dime. Round 4: Coding Assessment. You could do this before or after round three. It consisted of 4 coding questions you could solve using any language or pseudocode. Also about 1.5-2 hours of time for me at least You learn a lot the company which is nice. That said, it is a huge time sink (about 8 hours total) and they never even had the curtesy to call me to let me know that I did not get the role. Reviews on here are mixed about the company so just be sure you want to work there before you sink in that much time to not even get a curtesy call after the final round.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
When beginning with a new client, how do you build a long-term relationship with them?
30 minute phone call with a technical solutions engineer, questions were related to interest in the role and long term career goals rather than technical questions. He also asked about relocating and if that’s something I would be considering.
