I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in June 2015
Interview
The first stage was a simple 30 minute phone interview with one of the developers at the WI office. He had general questions regarding the material in my resume and a few standard HR questions. The next step was a technical coding assessment online that happened a week later. Had the usual questions regarding algorithms, data structures. Expect to write code that you cannot compile.

30 minutes phone interview about your background and a project from the resume. Then the interviewer will tell you about epic. It was friendly and casual talk with one of their software developers.
Initial coding challenge was on the longer side, and relatively difficult. But the phone and onsite interviews were much more straightforward. The interviewers themselves were also very nice and were quite helpful.
