      Interview

As a local applicant, I received an interview offer after previous applications. The first part of the process involved a four-hour, somewhat clunky and archaic logic and personality assessment. I don't believe I made it past this initial assessment on my first attempt. However, after a separate application, I got a referral for a "final" virtual interview for a different role. After submitting my availability, I was scheduled for a Wednesday, two weeks out. This was for a four hour virtual interview day, starting at 9 AM. I did five sessions run by various epic employees concluding with the recruiter interview. Epic bulk interviews. My experience involved: A first session with ten other candidates for a general overview. A second session with three candidates for a role-specific overview. A third session focusing on a case study. A fourth session for a presentation led by me. Finally, a recruiter interview. A fifteen-minute break before the presentation The pace of talking in the sessions was fast, however the amount of information everybody needed to cover led to the sessions running precisely to the minute. While very informative, the overall experience felt somewhat impersonal, everybody was bubbly in an exaggerated way like they were just trying to get through their sessions ASAP. I'd say the process is informative and gives you a good feel of the company, they hired a lot during covid and are planning to keep their current employee headcount, and there is a lot of work to go around. Prepare for this process to take a lot of your time and the time of others.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

1: Prepare a 10 minute presentation of a topic you are familiar with. 2: Why Epic, after these sessions, why this role? 3: Tell me about yourself 4: What is your expected compensation for this role? 5: When are you able to start? Every cohort starts the first Monday of a month and fills up fast.

      Interview

Expect multiple rounds of interviews involving typical interviews with recruiters, as well as taking a logic and coding test (even if you won’t be coding, you’ll still do some basic stuff on the test for it), and will also need to do a persuasive or informative presentation.

The guy was very nice, we just went over my resume and future expectations. He told me I should expect an email with my next interview steps. Also the assessment was very interesting
