After an initial phone screening with an in-house recruiter, I went into the headquarters to meet with the Copy Director. Note that after applying to the job, I had to email and follow up with the recruiter about eight times over the course of a month to even schedule this next round. While I wouldn't say it went badly, the in-person interview felt like more of a bro-out chill sesh, as there weren't many questions related to my skills, experience, or portfolio asked. The conversation leaned more towards vacations we had both taken and places to get coffee in Brooklyn. Despite following up with the recruiter and the Copy Director once a week for a month, I never got so much as an automated rejection email.
