Reasonable and sensible interview process with good people. They are responsive and polite, and the take-home project demonstrates your skills well. They are responsive and helpful about any questions you have throughout the process.
I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Equitable (Waterloo, ON) in Feb 2019
Interview
Interview process had one associate from HR, and two developers. Overall it was a very professional interview and they all handled it in a very welcoming and polite manner. The questions asked were based on either personal projects or school experience.
The HR associate is the introduction to the interview, and then throughout acts as a stenographer, typing your responses to each question - that part was a little nerve racking and immediately shut off my brain. Throughout the interview I said some technical information wrong due to interview nerves, and they kindly mentioned this in a non-belittling way - but I was less receptive. Overall these guys were great. Very professional. The only weak link in the room was me.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Equitable (Waterloo, ON) in July 2016
Interview
There was a brief introduction to the hiring manager, then a one hour assignment to complete. After the assignment, there was a one hour interview with three people from the team.
The assignment is done with Visual Studio in C#. The task is to create a small data entry form, and have it submit to a database (SQL Server). The focus of the job description was AngularJS, so prepare for both.
