Several weeks of being aggressively recruited, culminating in lots of promises, but no offer. I finally called the HR manager to see what the deal was, and was told that the company had decided to go with a 'last minute' internal applicant.

The manager interviewed me on the spot, at dinner, while drinking. Even though I had asked for a formal meeting. I found The manager to be very unprofessional. I ultimately decided that working for her wasn't going to work for me.
