      Accepted offer
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Essendant

      Interview

Met with the Director, AGOM, 3 Operations Managers and HR. Sat down individually and then again as a group at the end of the interview process. Primary purpose was to gain insight on how I manage not so much my skill set. They are looking for people that can change a culture and engage the people to effect change.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me a time when you knew your manager was wrong and how did you manage through it? If you could be any animal what would you be. (Be careful with this one!)

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Essendant (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2016

      Interview

Very poor follow up from the recruiters. No one knew anything about the position. The hiring manager did not know I was scheduled for an interview but he was kind enough to finish his lunch early and interview me. I was taken on a tour of the facility. The hiring manager was very knowledgeable and had a lot of tenure with the company.

How do you engage your employees?

      Department Manager Interview

      20 Jan 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Cincinnati, OH
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Essendant (Cincinnati, OH) in Mar 2015

      Interview

There is a phone interview with a recruiter and if he/she like the way it went, you would then interview with one of the managers at the warehouse. If you have a good interview with the manager, you would then meet with the VP.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

If I were to ask you to rank quality, productivity, and safety in their order of importance at work, which would you say is the most important? Second? Why?
