      Local Truck Driver Interview

      17 Nov 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Auburn, WA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Estes Express Lines (Auburn, WA) in Nov 2021

      Interview

Immediately received a phone call five minutes after applying. Recruiter described the position, the benefits, the pay and answered almost all my questions. She scheduled an interview with the terminal manager later that week. Terminal manager described a different job than what recruiter told me (which wasn't surprising) and then discussed the type of work load and hours I'd be working. Asked what kind of experience trucking I had and assured me anything I wasn't experienced on (doubles mainly) that they would train me. Everything seemed good, we shook hands and gave me a "looking forward to having you." Two weeks went by with no calls or emails and I had to contact the recruiter to get answers. Manager denied my application and didn't even send out an email or give a reason except to the recruiter after pestering saying "Passed" despite the interview seemingly going well. Recruiter and I were both, bewildered. I have a spotless background and only a few unemployment marks on my ten year record. No clue. Unprofessional all around, in my opinion. Maybe I dodged a bullet?
