      Interview

I was sent a list of questions to answer before scheduling an interview. After responding to these a 30 minute virtual interview was scheduled. They were very kind, and even were willing to reschedule when I needed (I gave several days notice). I enjoyed speaking with them.

      Community Engagement Specialist Interview

      12 Apr 2023
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Eventeny in Jan 2023

      Interview

The interview process was detailed and efficient, consisting of pre-interview questions (answered by email), a 30 minute interview with the HM and a potential colleague, and a product test that was scheduled for 90 minutes and included time for questions with the founders. The pre-interview questions were a lot of the standard questions you'd get in an interview; being able to write them out instead of having to answer them off the cuff was a boon. As a career transitioner, the product test was also quite beneficial to me. Instead of endless questions about what I might do or how I might respond I was able to demonstrate my abilities to them in the mock-scenario which is crucial for someone who does not have the work experience you'd expect for someone in the field. Ultimately I felt their interview process was respectful of my time and my skills and demonstrated to me that they knew what they were looking for. I would likely feel the same even if I hadn't been offered the job.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Q: From concept to creation, outline a project you recently completed. Include your thoughts and ideas, what worked, what didn't work, what you would do differently, etc. Q: What are you looking for in this job? Q: Why should we hire you? Q: What do you think are the marks of a great Community Engagement Specialist? Q: How do you keep your skills sharp and up to date? Q: Tell us about a mistake you have made, the impact, and what you learned from it. (these were all of the pre-interview questions that I answered by email)
