The interview process was long and drawn out, spanning four rounds over the course of a month. It included conversations with the Director, Hiring Manager (which included an SQL test), a Data Engineering team member, and the Product team. The delays were largely due to holidays and team members being unavailable, but communication from HR was noticeably lacking. Proactive updates were rare, and most outreach had to be candidate-driven.
After speaking with the Director and Hiring Manager, there was a two-week period of silence with no response from HR. Despite follow-ups, including direct outreach to the Director and Hiring Manager after the holidays, there was no reply. Eventually, two more rounds were scheduled, only to be followed by another period of unresponsiveness. Multiple follow-ups went unanswered, and ultimately, I was left without closure. Unfortunately, this kind of experience has become all too common in hiring processes today.
