I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Express Employment Professionals (Knoxville, TN) in Apr 2012
Interview
I believe it was one initial interview, the hire-on process was rather simple. It's almost always busy in there so expect to fill out your application in a lobby area with other applicants. After filling out an application you are meet with one of the advisers for your specific area of interest and are placed with a company based on your experience. Drug and aptitude tests (if required) are given during the initial interviewing process. There might have been a background check, as well. I'm not positive on that.

The questions that are always the most difficult for me are the "name a time or situation when x happened and how you reacted to the situation." Be prepared for these types of questions.

Interview
Very casual interview, asked questions about what I would like and dislike, what I want in an employer and what is important to me goals and the salary I'm looking for. It seems more like a conversation not a interview.
