I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Express (New York, NY) in June 2015
Interview
It was pretty formal. Dress to impress when you attend their interviews. I was interviewed on the spot when I asked if they were hiring so you've got to be prepared. Then for the actual formal interview, it turned out to be a group interview. They asked questions about why Express, what can you offer, what do you think you can learn, etc. (pretty basic interview questions).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why do you want to work at Express? What can you learn from us? What can you offer us? What do you see yourself doing in 5/10 years?
I first applied online, and then I got an interview date and time, and then I went into the location for the interview. After that I just waited for a little bit of time and then I was sent an offer that I signed
Applied online, interviewed in person the next day. Interview was basically a vibe check. More important to apply during peak season (early spring or early fall) when they're hiring the most. Make sure you have availability on the weekend.
Easy and straight forward interview. They ask for your availability and if have fashion experience. Also, asks about previous sales and customer service experience. The job itself is not hard at all.
