The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Express (Dallas, TX) in May 2011
Interview
Basically, I interviewed with a group of four. We were led to the back and sat down at a round table while the interviewer asked us questions. The interview was easy, but took a long time because everyone was giving long answers. At the end of the interview we were told to give references and that he would call if he wanted us to attend orientation a week later. Also, the interviewer did not fail to mention that if we did not get the hang of the store within a few weeks we would be fired.
I first applied online, and then I got an interview date and time, and then I went into the location for the interview. After that I just waited for a little bit of time and then I was sent an offer that I signed
Applied online, interviewed in person the next day. Interview was basically a vibe check. More important to apply during peak season (early spring or early fall) when they're hiring the most. Make sure you have availability on the weekend.
Easy and straight forward interview. They ask for your availability and if have fashion experience. Also, asks about previous sales and customer service experience. The job itself is not hard at all.
