I applied through university. I interviewed at Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES)
Interview
Got interview through engineering career fair. Brief interview with HR on-campus followed by longer, secondary interview on-site. For the technical portion, I was not unnecessarily tested, but they were definitely listening to my explanations very carefully.

Interview
The interview was relatively quick and straightforward. There were no trick questions asked and they just wanted a genuine sense of the kind of person and engineer I was. The entire thing lasted an hour maybe.

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) (Middleton, WI) in Oct 2014
Interview
I interviewed once on campus and once at the company. The on campus interview is with Human Resources and it is very laid back. The on-site interview was with two engineers and also included a tour of the company. This interview was laid back as well. The engineers asked several technical questions. Overall, a positive experience.

Question 1
The engineers will probe your mind to see how much you know and to try to evaluate the way you think. They intentionally ask questions that you will not know the answer to so that they can try to gauge your thought process by seeing what your first attempts would be. They will give you hints and teach you stuff throughout the problems to see where you go next.
