Interview
I just interviewed for a Buyer position about a week ago.
In my 20 years of employment, this interview was the most unprofessional interview I have ever been on.
The Purchasing Supervisor has no clue on how to conduct an interview, never asked specific questions regarding my procurement expertise, she actually said very little, her biggest question was "tell me about yourself", then said they were very busy and pointed to a messy stack of papers on her desk (her office was a disaster area).
Based on my questions, seems they have little to no "policies and procedures" in that department.
My take is even though the company is doing well financially, they could be doing even better with someone else in that position.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Extron Electronics in Oct 2017
Interview
Applied and was called into interview. You had to first go to the tall building and wait then fill out an old fashioned application. Then you have to drive across the street to the other building for the interview with purchasing. The manager lady was nice and pleasant. Whoever her boss is for the second interview was a jerk. He looks like the skipper on Gilligan's Island but not nice like he was so look out. Everyone in the department is in a cubicle and doesnt talk to each other. Seems like the sweatshop i used to work at across the street at Venture. I wouldn't have taken the job. BEWARE this company and this position used to advertise this position in the 2008-2015 time frame. All the buyers i know in the county were suspicious of this place. Why is the position always vacant?

Question 1
Very typical questions like from a website, your strengths and weaknesses kind. Nothing out of the ordinary.
