Interview consisted of 3 different rounds.
1) Phone screen with a recruiter from the company. Be ready to answer questions about what FINRA does.
2) Technical Coding Interview (virtual)
3) Technical Coding interview (on-site)
Overall a very smooth and professional experience. Heard back very fast in between rounds.

Question 1
Asked to write several SQL scripts and a python data structures questions
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at FINRA in Jan 2022
Interview
Started with a take-home coding challenge in Hive sql and python. Then an interview with a two people, one hiring manager and one IC. Coding challenge was interesting if a bit esoteric.

Question 1
The interview questions were all along the lines of:
Q: Describe how you have solved [insert vague challenge]
A: STAR answer, describing solving some problem at previous job.
Q: That doesn't sound very difficult. Have you ever used [insert uncommon technique, like survival analysis or recursion].
A: Well, I have used that on a portfolio project, [describe technique, pros and cons, and how I used it on my project to solve some problem]
Q: Personal project are worthless. I'm want to know how you used it in a work environment.
A:I haven't had an opportunity to use it for that ye-
And on to the next question.
I did an online assessment which is extremely hard with 2 sql and 2 python. One of them is dynamic programming. It's no time limit but recruiter said it was for a 2 hr round supposedly. They might need someone genius to do this which I cannot.
