The interview questions were all along the lines of: Q: Describe how you have solved [insert vague challenge] A: STAR answer, describing solving some problem at previous job. Q: That doesn't sound very difficult. Have you ever used [insert uncommon technique, like survival analysis or recursion]. A: Well, I have used that on a portfolio project, [describe technique, pros and cons, and how I used it on my project to solve some problem] Q: Personal project are worthless. I'm want to know how you used it in a work environment. A:I haven't had an opportunity to use it for that ye- And on to the next question.
