I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at FOSSA (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2020
Interview
My company referred me to this company due to layoffs.
I had the phone screen in which I was not prepared, even though I had a really good experience, the interviewer was very nice and patient.
I would like to recommend this company, it seems a very good company to work for and you can WFH!!!

Question 1
I was asked to a create a simple web service using any programming language I wanted.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at FOSSA
Interview
I had a great experience interviewing with FOSSA. I originally talked to one of the software engineers. He first answered a bunch of my questions then asked about myself and my experience. This was followed up with a technical screen. After that I was invited on-site. They arranged for my travel and one thing I really liked is that they asked my preference for lights in the AM or PM.
When I got to the office everyone was very welcoming. I had 4 interview sessions. The first was a pair coding challenge, the next was reviewing a pull request for a new feature on my previous code. The next interview was a technical fit and the last interview was a culture fit.
I felt really comfortable talking to everyone. I could tell that the interviewers were routing for me to do well, which made me feel very comfortable. I really liked that the challenge was applicable to what an engineer would be doing day to day at FOSSA. I also liked the format of the on-site interview as sometimes we get nervous in the coding challenges but the technical fit is a great way to showcase your skill set. After the interview I was asked for feedback on how the interview process was.
I talked to the head of talent soon after the interview and was given an offer and accepted. She also arranged for payment of my expenses very quickly. My situation was unique to FOSSA which meant quite a bit of back and forth was required through the hiring process. She was very quick, professional and personable in our communications.
