I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at FREIGHTQUOTE (Kansas City, KS) in June 2016
Interview
It was very mellow interview process. They took me to the building walked me around the offices where I would work and then told me about the 60-100 cold calls a day.
Recruiter and hiring manager - they hire anyone off the street. Beware. Not a career, just looking for people to fill seats and dial phones. I would not recommend to anyone. Interviews are easy.
I applied online after the recruiter found my profile on LinkedIn. The process took 3 days. I was contacted by a new recruiter to setup a phone interview after viewing my profile.
The recruiter was not prepared and first ignored a previously scheduled interview and she cancelled it and then re-scheduled after I sent her an email about the originally scheduled interview.
The recruiter called and it seemed like a horrible phone connection. There was a delay on phone, how does that happen!? The recruiter seemed bored right off the bat. Lots of 'yeah' 'ok great'. She was evasive and very short. Pair that with the delay, total disaster! It's difficult to sell yourself when you don't know exactly if the person is still waiting for your response or just not responding. The phone interview only lasted 10 mins. The interview was bombarding and Intimidating.
After my phone interview that same afternoon I immediately received an email that they were moving forward with other candidates. What a disgusting way to treat candidates after reaching out to me for a job after finding me on LinkedIn. I was extremely upset with my interview experience. I emailed her back several times and called her to receive an update on my application. I even put a message on Facebook and the company has not reached out to me. I have family members and friends who work there. I don’t recommend applying for this company. You can lose a lot of great candidates by having the wrong people in these types of positions. I am very disappointed in the manner this whole interview process was handled, and will not likely accept a position here, even if it was offered at this point.
