      PR Assistant Interview

      23 Mar 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Factory PR in Feb 2018

      Interview

What a terribly unprofessional company. Coming from an extremely well known and professional company in the fashion PR space, I know what a well run company looks like. I went on my first interview at Factory with a very distracted VP, who rushed through the interview, challenged everything I said and interrupted me after she asked me a question. I was ushered in and out and saw other applicants waiting before and after my interview which frankly is not a great way to impress a possible future employee. After sending a thank you, references and writing samples via email post interview, I never heard back from them. Then weeks later (after the fashion week craziness died down which I understand) I got an email asking me to come in the next day. The interview went well and I never heard back (even after a thank you email) which is sadly the norm in this industry. I really think this company is extremely unprofessional with who they choose to interview potential candidates as well as the fact that after emailing and asking TWICE about the hiring process they didn't even have the consideration to get back to me. What a waste of time and energy with a company that demanded I came in so promptly but then never had the respect to get back to me. Such unprofessional behavior from employees of all levels. They came off like they were better than the company that I came from and were so important that they didn't have to answer me. What a shame that this probably reflects the way they do business.

      Interview

Very strange interview, you could tell the interviewers did not really care about me as a potential asset, they just needed someone to do all the busy work that was not getting done
