      Senior Manager Interview

      6 May 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

      I interviewed at FanDuel

      Interview

Was handled very poorly. The hiring manager and the team do not know what or who they are looking for. Asked candidates to work on a case study without compensation and left out important information and details in the case study. Overall felt rushed and by the time I completed it, I didn’t even want to continue with the interview process.

      Interview

Arrogant Director, with no idea what the role will be in daily work. The director was very confused about the company and the interview. The gambling market needs to have a clear vision of the product and its roles.

      Senior Manager Interview

      20 Oct 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at FanDuel (New York, NY) in Oct 2020

      Interview

The interview process was a phone call with HR, followed by a 30 minute discussion with the hiring manager, a culture fit interview with someone outside the department, and finally a presentation infront of the VP and hiring manager. The interview with the hiring manager was spent finding out if I like sports as opposed to finding out if I have a marketing background. The interviewer ultimately said they wished I had more marketing experience. If we spent less time finding out what sports I played as a teen and more time finding out how I developed a CRM system for the company I was working for, I think it would've been more beneficial. Next, I was given a vague prompt to show my marketing and analytical skills through a presentation. After the interview, I was told I would be given a response later in the week. The response I received was a simple email saying we went with a different candidate. I wish they called me to notify me of their decision considering I was one of the last two candidates and I provided a detailed presentation + pitch deck. It feels disrespectful to make your candidates do work and to not in turn give them the time of day to call them for a 5 minute discussion as to what I could've done differently or what sort of opportunities might be a better fit for me. If you are going to ask people to put in time to complete work, I would hope that you would reciprocate.
