I had two interviews at Fanpage Karma - one with an employee from the content team and one with the CEO. Both were personally pleasant, the questions were very challenging - including a stress test with text and math questions. That's perfectly fine if you treat candidates appreciatively in the end. Unfortunately, the opposite was the case:
after the second interview, I was promised feedback “at the beginning of next week”. I sent two friendly emails with an inquiry - but two weeks later I still haven't received a reply.
I prepared intensively for the interviews, worked my way through a case study for several hours, adjusted to the company and invested time and energy. In my opinion, it's disrespectful to not even receive a rejection after such a selection process - especially from a company that values open communication.
Conclusion:
Good interviews alone are not enough. Anyone who treats candidates in this way is actively contributing to exhaustion and frustration in the job market - especially at a time when many applicants are already under a lot of pressure.
