      Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Interview

      9 May 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at Fanvue (London, England)

      Interview

I was invited to interview following my application and was asked to share my availability for that week, which I responded to the same day. After hearing nothing for seven days, I eventually received an apology and a new interview time was arranged another week later. Unfortunately, five minutes before the scheduled meeting, the interview was cancelled without any email, phone call or explanation. I followed up two days later to understand what had happened and did not receive a response. Disappointing experience overall. Having worked in similar roles across growing start-ups, I also see the interview process as an opportunity to assess a company’s communication, organisation and respect for candidates’ time. In this case, the experience suggested it may not have been the right fit after all.
