I went through a multi-step recruitment process for this position, including a screening call, language assessments, a job-related test, and a final interview.
While the role itself and initial interactions were positive, my overall candidate experience was disappointing due to the lack of communication and organization throughout the process.
The interview did not take place as originally planned, as the hiring manager was absent and replaced by another person and a consultant. Despite requesting that the interview be conducted in French, part of the interview was held with a participant who did not speak French.
After completing all stages of the process, I did not receive any update regarding the outcome of my application. I had to follow up myself three weeks later to learn that the position had already been filled.
Given the length and effort required throughout the recruitment process, I believe more proactive communication and better coordination would significantly improve the candidate experience.
