Met with 3 different PIs for projects to be put on for half an hour each. Asked questions about some of my past experiences, told me a bit about their research and the project I would be working on. Asked me if I had any questions or thoughts about their research. Pretty friendly overall. Fully virtual, only one round.

Question 1
What's your experience programming in (language)?
Tell me about what you did as a Research Assistant for (professor)?
Do you have any questions about (project) that you would be working on if you worked for me this summer?
I applied through university. I interviewed at Federal Reserve Board (Washington, DC)
Interview
Very brief, with standard questions and an interview board of two younger professionals, one of whom had held the internship position previously. There was only one interview, but a bunch of paperwork for eligibility. However, thus far it has been difficult to tell if the next steps in paperwork constitute an offer or not.
