Chosen out of 70 applicants to be one of ten interviewed. 1st interview was with person I was to replace, 2nd interview with CFO, 3rd interview via conference call with remote employee, 4th interview with another employee, 5th interview with CEO of company. I have never had so many interviews for a singular position. And it was an admin/exec assistant position. Selected for hire, began paperwork, negotiated salary, hire date sent. Offer rescinded. I had invested about 40 hours in research, preparation, and actual interviews. I understand the desire to find the right “fit” for a company culture, but this was ridiculous. Person they did hire didn’t last. Karma.
