I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Ferrell-duncan Clinic (Springfield, MO) in June 2012
Interview
I did a typing test and a phone interview. Phone interview was a irate patient (pretend) and I helped her with the issue. They hired me on the spot. I did what I would consider a pschy evaluation. Then they showed me how to use the computer. It was very simple. They showed me how to look up patients and make sure that they weren't trying to switch doctors. Some patients wanted to go to a specific doctor so I had to make sure and give them an appointment or speak to the nurse of the doctor they had been seen by. Dr. Quinn was a very good neurologist and every body wanted him as their doctor so that is why the taught me how to look up who their doctor really is if it didn't show up as one of the other doctors. I learned how to use the computer in a 3 day time frame. Two days earlier to the end of the class. So I started with the doctors immediately. They asked me if I could handle working there since I was a single mom...I did miss some cause my kids would get sick but I was there more than not. They accepted my situation and hired me on the spot.
