During the interview process, I was given a take-home assessment that proved to be quite time-consuming, taking more than 2-3 days to complete the implementation. Following that, I had a Zoom call with two individuals—a senior developer and a junior developer. The junior dev was friendly and created a comfortable atmosphere, which helped ease my nerves. However, the senior developer seemed a bit agitated during the call, leaving me unsure of the reason behind his demeanor. During the interview, I was asked to implement basic functionalities in my code, such as incorporating local storage, as well as utilizing the MVC (Model-View-Controller) pattern. Unfortunately, due to nervousness, I couldn't implement local storage as requested. Additionally, I mistakenly believed he was only inquiring about my understanding of MVC, rather than expecting me to apply it in the code. Despite these challenges, the overall interview experience was positive, and I received timely feedback the day after the interview. Moving forward, I aim to learn from this experience, enhancing my technical skills and clarifying expectations during interviews to ensure better performance in future opportunities.
