Reached out to by recruiter. Phone screen, hiring manager interview, director level interview, then take home assessment which was helpful in learning some things related to the technical side but overall too basic of an assessment. Then final round, which was canceled abruptly - this was the most frustrating part of my experience as the recruiter continually reinforced to me how positive it was going, etc. and set me up for the final round. Then out of nowhere canceled the day prior due to “signing another candidate”, although the position has been reposted for months now. I fear this might not be an uncommon experience.
