Find the nearest palindrome for a given integer

Offered two solutions, one was the brute force approach where you search from the integer until you find a palindrome. Second was to reverse the the first half of the integer and replace the second half with the reversed half.

i got this exact same question, so it may have been scripted.  Your approach isn't 100% correct but mostly so that may have been why you got rejected.

The key in these questions is to cover the fundamentals, and be ready for the back-and-forth with the interviewer.
