I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Fireworks Gallery (Seattle, WA) in Mar 2021
Interview
Called them and asked if they were hiring, and sent them my resume. I came in for an interview the next week and was asked a few questions about my experience in related fields. Pretty standard process and easy questions.
2.5 hour stream of consciousness blather by interviewer in which I was not asked a single question other than where I was from. “Your resume speaks for itself”. Interviewer had no filter, gossiped about other company employees including the owner and went on a small political rant about her conservative stance. Interviewer kept apologizing for her distraction, disorganized thought process citing she needed more coffee. Most baffling interview of my career. Major red flags.
I applied online. I interviewed at Fireworks Gallery (New York, NY)
Interview
Very fast and pleasant, Seemed Prepared. Met the store Manager and the Assistant Manager they had a sheet of questions that they probably ask everyone. The Job posting made it seem like it was for an Art Gallery Job. Got a call from them and they told me it was for a retail store. Scheduled an interview anyway since they sounded pleasant.
