I interviewed at First Eagle Investments (New York, NY) in Mar 2025
Interview
Online application followed by multiple rounds with each member of the team, waited about a month to hear back afterwards. Interviews themselves were as expected - asked basic questions about interest, resume, knowledge, etc.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself, why are you interested in this line of business, etc.
Duration of the process was long and could have been streamlined outside scheduling conflicts but worked out in the end with an offer. Appreciated the in person interviews as well.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at First Eagle Investments (New York, NY) in Jan 2023
Interview
One of the most unprofessional interviews I’ve ever participated in. Hiring manager no showed the first zoom interview then was 20 minutes late to the rescheduled one. Had to ask HR recruiter to wake him up. Once he signed on - he didn’t ask one relevant question. Then once I pressed him for feedback, he said something about not being sure of my fit due to me being older than average internal on the desk. Maybe it’s just me, but it’s on you to manage and get the best out of everybody as a manager. If you hired some older ppl before and it didn’t work out for one reason or another maybe it’s you not being a good manager or them not being a good fit because you don’t know how to interview. It’s not just due to their age and experience.
