I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at First Media (Los Angeles, CA) in July 2023
Interview
Started with an initial review with the recruiter, who was very nice and responded quickly, never ghosted me and was transparent. Second interview was with a director of production, incredible guy. We ended up chatting 20 minutes over the interview time and I thought I had it in the bag. Then I had a third interview with the production manager who asked me some of the most boring questions I've ever been asked in an interview and from the beginning, he seemed to want to rush me off the call. I'm not sure if they had already chosen someone or what but that interview felt pointless. There was also a test edit which was a bit strange because the assets looked like they were from 2005 and didn't resemble any work that I'd seen them do while researching the company. The directions for the test edit were not only vague but the production manager had no idea what they said. I felt like I was set up to fail in that sense. I think I would have liked to work for the company given the chance but not sure I would have enjoyed working under the specific production manager.

Question 1
Most of the interview is just telling them about yourself and asking questions about the company. Then you'll go into more detail when you discuss your decisions for the test edit.
