I applied online through a job board and was asked to complete an online assessment (general knowledge). I then received an email asking me to come in for some tests and a "potential" interview, which should've been red flag #1. When I arrived for my interview they gave me a Wonderlic assessment and also made me fill out an 80 question survey (of which half the questions were some variation of "is it ok to steal from work" or "is it ok to take/sell illegal drugs at work"). I was given no explanation as to why these could not have been completed online like the first assessment, especially since I told them I was driving to Lansing from the Detroit suburbs, which is roughly a 1.5 hour drive each way. After the two assessments were complete the interviewer came back into the room and told me that the hiring manager wasn't available to speak with me but said that I would hear back by the end of that week, possibly even that same day. It has now been 4 weeks and I have received no communication at all. This is hands down the most unprofessional company I have ever interviewed at and I STRONGLY recommend avoiding any company that would be this inconsiderate of anyone's time. Just think- if this is how they treat people who they are trying to attract to the company, how badly do they treat people once they are hired and can't just walk away?
