I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Five Talent (Bend, OR)
Interview
Applied online, did a 20 minute interview in person, did a take home assignment that was pretty simple, came in for a code review on the take home assignment, did a 30 minute discussion about the code, and then waited for their email.
Overall a pretty positive and simple process, Ryan was a super nice guy to interview with. I feel like it was a bit of a bait n switch, because they mentioned in the take home assignment that the 'looks dont matter,' yet i think i was dinged a bit because my site wasnt very pretty. I

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Five Talent (Bend, OR) in Dec 2017
Interview
Three weeks of phone tag. Hasty phone interview. 8 hour programming challenge. At the in-person interview- the CTO barely read any lines of code for my 8 hour challenge. Hired me as QA instead of junior developer. Very fake, insincere personality.

Are you ok working with technologies other than your preferred technologies?
Thank you for your review and feedback! We take your frustrations and experience seriously. I do know that it was hard to connect with our team over the December holidays and I apologize for this frustration. I remember your interview and your code exercise, it wasn't a good fit to be a developer so I tried to explore other positions within Five Talent to see if there might be another good fit for you so we tried QA and hoped that after awhile you moved into development. Sorry the relationship didn't work out, we wish you best in the future.
