I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Fleet Feet (Coppell, TX) in Aug 2022
Interview
The interview process was very brief and more straightforward than expected. The manager who interviewed me was friendly and made it comfortable for me to speak. He asked me a few basic questions about my previous job experiences and how I dealt with customers/clients in the past. The manager even briefly specified the roles and duties of the job. After discussing my availability, he gave me the job on the spot.

Question 1
How would you deal with an unhappy customer?
What is your availability?
Laid back interview, still waiting for a response back but was all personality questions and how you approach situations. It was low stakes and a much more casual interview than I was expecting.

Question 1
What was a setback you experienced and how did you overcome it?
Short and sweet. Usually with the manager and then the owner. Lasted about 30 minutes. They really wanted to know if you were able to be a normal human being and connect to the people shopping there.
I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fleet Feet (New York, NY) in Apr 2025
Interview
It was a 30 min general conversation about my background, interest in running, and why I'm interested in the position. I was not tested on shoe knowledge. I think showing interest in the sport and helping people are the most important aspects.
