      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Flexciton (London, England) in Feb 2024

      Interview

The interview process is composed of four stages. I only managed to do to two of them. The first stage is a classic videocall screening with HR to check alignment with the role/company and to know about you. The second stage was a scheduling optimisation challenge they send you to do in your own time, They estimate the minimum time for this task is four hours but I found myself investing more than that. After I submit the task I did not receive feedback so I contact them and the answer was that the team have decided do move with other candidates more suitable for the role and that detailed feedback about the technical challenge will be provided in the "following weeks". I have not received such a feedback which I would have expected after making the effort and spending time trying to solve the technical challenge. Overall the recruitment process with Flexciton is quite poor and requires improvement specially on providing feedback to candidates that invest time trying to solve the long technical challenge.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Flexciton (London, England) in Oct 2023

      Interview

Initial HR interview, followed by technical case. After the technical case, there was one interview to talk about your solution, plus optimisation knowledge assessment and a little of live coding (you shouldn’t worry, nothing crazy and perfectly aligned with the case). After this major technical round, there are two other interviews, the first is part technical and part behavioural, assessing fit with the company. The last one is with senior people of the company, mainly to assess fit. The whole interview process is fair and it was a very good interview experience. However, it is very demanding.

Optimisation questions may test your ability to formulate some constraints and binary problems.
