I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Flexport (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2018
Interview
The interview process was very efficient. I had one phone screen and then went for onsite. I enjoyed talking to everyone during the onsite which included two coding rounds, one architecture and one deep dive of my past projects. After I got my offer, there was a round of team meeting during which I got the chance to talk to their CEO, CFO, VP of Engineering and the managers of the teams they matched you with. I was able to ask a lot of questions and got a pretty good understanding of the logistics industry during the team match meetings. Really like the company and they are definitely growing fast.
I applied to Flexport in December, then I was sent a TripleByte quiz many months later. The quiz was to evaluate my knowledge in algorithms, frontend, and backend development. I scored highly, around 95th percentile, but I never heard back from the company.
I applied online. I interviewed at Flexport in Feb 2022
Interview
Took a quiz, had 4 sections, frontend, backend, algorithms & data structures, and general coding practices. The algorithms & data structures and general coding practices sections were very easy, but frontend and backend was very difficult for new college grads.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Had a question about tries in algorithms and data structures
backend section: asked about SQL statements, HTTP request headers, webassembly, semantic versioning specifications, SSO scheme, back-end architectures
