I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Flix (Munich, Bavaria) in Jan 2020
Interview
I had my first phone interview with a recruiter called Tya. I was informed that the position I initially applied was no longer taken any new candidates as they already moved forward for the next hiring process. After a brief introduction about myself, Tya referred me for another position. At the moment, I was open to any opportunities that allow me to apply my skills so I accepted.
During the hiring process, it was an unpleasant and disappointing experience. Not only is the recruiter lack of human resource experience, but her attitude is beyond unprofessional.
First, for the interview confirmation email, she sent sent it to my former employer. I did enclose a list of contacts as reference with my CV for the application. However, I do know think anyone with their right minds would confuse an email receiver between an applicant and an applicant’s former employer. BUT TYA DID. Thus I politely requested her to remove my former employer’s contact and only reach out to them for inquiring my previous work experience/performance .
During the hiring process, she kept sending my former employer emails which exposed my confidential information including my expected salary, interview status and results. I have warned her three times but not only once did she apologize for disrespecting my privacy. Eventually I had to explain and apologize to my former supervisors about all the irrelevant emails they have received.
I believe in professional conduct and respect all my work relationship. It is unforgivable and unfair for the recruiter’s carelessness to put a burden on my reputation. I am considering to pursue a legal lawsuit to against this recruiter.
Overall, the interview was fair. The questions were pretty basic and well constructed. The company seems to have an open minded work culture.
Again, I highly recommend anyone who applies this company to be CAUTIOUS with this particular recruiter.
