Had applied twice, recruiter reached out after the second application.
Had to do 3 technical interviews, two of which were live coding and one was an open discussion on infrastructure.
All three technical interviews felt fair and reasonable for a mid level software engineer position
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at FloQast (Raleigh, NC) in June 2025
Interview
There are at least 3 steps to the interview process. First interviewer was nice. Think most of their base is in Javascript. Had the option to do the problem in Javascript, Java or Python.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FloQast (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2025
Interview
The interview process is outlined well on their site.
First was an initial call with a talent acquisition partner which was roughly 15 mins long.
Second was an initial technical interview, where I spoke with the interviewer for 30 mins and then followed up with a simple real-world problem.
Third was a two part interview, where I did pair coding in the frontend for the first hour and pair coding in the backend for the next hour.
Finally, there was a 15 minute call with the director of software engineering.
