I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Flume Health in July 2022
Interview
Contacted by email for an interview. Set me up with Head of Product first and I assumed I left a good impression as they emailed back fairly quickly stating they felt I was a good fit and that they would like me to continue in the process. With every interview request, they said I was a good fit. I went through SEVEN separate interviews within 3 weeks with various employees including the CEO and COO. Did not hear back from them after several emails until three weeks later where the Head of People emailed me saying they went in a different direction.

Question 1
They posted the salary range after my interviews which was significantly lower than what I asked for, which is probably why they went with someone else. They need to put salary expectations on the table as no one commented on my desired range at all. To have someone prepare for seven interviews and not even extend an offer is inconsiderate of time and energy spent.
They ghosted me after an initial interview which was pretty standard. I understand that sometimes things are not a good fit, hiring needs change, etc - but if someone is taking the time to consider your company for a role, you can at least follow up after you interview them. I did not feel respected. Do better, please!
Screener, then zoom with hiring manager.
I was irritated to learn at the end of the second round interview that React experience was a must, despite having no React experience on my resume, and being upfront that I didn't have it. Not a good use of my time, nor the manager's.
I'd advise other candidates to apply only if they have strong React skills. Other popular frameworks were not acceptable substitutes.
