I applied online. I interviewed at Flywheel in Oct 2024
Interview
Had a first-round interview with two interviewers. One seemed friendly and asked standard questions, while the other seemed hostile and only asked me to describe the minutiae of how various processes worked at my current job. After I described them, he would say "That's not how we do it here" and describe Flywheel's process, then move on without giving me a chance to respond. He never tried to frame questions in such a way as to find out how I would react to Flywheel's environment and workflows; he only seemed interested in finding someone who had experience with processes that matched Flywheel's exactly.
I applied online. I interviewed at Flywheel (New York, NY) in July 2021
Interview
Met with one of the PMs initially. He assigned a case study and timeline. Met again with him and 3 other people who I believe were directors. It was pretty average, they went around asking questions
Multi-round, standard questions, but highly disorganized -- had to constantly prod them to get feedback/advance to next stages. Company as a whole seems like a small group of people who wear multiple hats and who seem to be making it up as they go. Salary offered was -- in the words of another reviewer on here -- heinous. They will try to convince you that working overtime is an expectation on this pittance of a salary. Don't believe them -- I found a job that pays 3x at a competitor weeks after this interview process. (Happy to provide referrals to this company if anyone wants one.) If Flywheel rejects you, just know that it very likely has nothing to do with you -- they are small (and shrinking) players doing old-school work in an industry that is rapidly outgrowing them.
