      Application

I interviewed at Follow Up Boss (Texas City, TX)

      Interview

Too rigorous and lengthy for a basic support job. Took two months from the time I applied and interviewed to hear if I even got the position. After I got hired heard about benefits and company was changing. There were red flags from the beginning.

      Question 1

      Tell me more about yourself

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Follow Up Boss in Apr 2024

      Interview

While my recruiter was exceptional, the interview experience itself was quite different from what I anticipated. The assessment was pretty straightforward, especially for those already in product support roles. After passing the assessment, I was invited for an interview. The initial interaction with the first interviewer went smoothly; we connected well, and she demonstrated genuine interest in getting to know me. However, the interview segment with the manager didn't unfold as expected. The questions posed didn't provide me with the opportunity to effectively showcase my experience and skills relevant to the Product Support Specialist position. Surprisingly, I was never asked pivotal questions such as "Why Zillow?" or "Why do you believe you'd be an asset to this team?" Instead, the questions followed a standard STAR format that, in my view, didn't delve into my background adequately. Consequently, I left the interview feeling unsettled, unable to fully convey why I would have excelled in the role. It'd be cool to have a hiring manager who's as stoked about meeting candidates as we are about joining the team. It took about a month overall from first call, interview a week later, and then 3 weeks later to hear back - in which I had to reach out to my recruiter for an update.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Very standard STAR questions. For example, when was a time you went above and beyond?

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Follow Up Boss (Unknown)

      Interview

Four-step interview process. First step was a phone call, which went very well. Super friendly, laid-back, fun. Second step was a self-paced, self-directed video interview. Third step was a panel interview with members of the current team. It went well overall, but I left with a feeling of uneasiness. I was told during that interview that I would receive more information the following week. I finally gave up waiting after three weeks and just made the assumption that I wasn't going to get an offer or even an opportunity for the fourth interview. No communication of any kind. Not even a "thanks, but no thanks" email.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked me to describe my current role and the responsibilities I currently have.
