I applied in-person. I interviewed at Foot Locker in Oct 2015
Interview
The interview process was short and straight to the point. Questions were easy but you need to ensure you are truthful. You don't need to know every thing about shoes but you need to be about to talk about sales or things you are willing to learn.
I applied online and got a phone call a week later to do the in person interview. In person I had to visit the store and ask for the manager that contacted me.
It was 10-15 minutes. Went pretty easy. They asked about me random questions and then told me about the job. The interviewer was nice and told me not to worry and that it is just general things.
The interview was quick and easy. They asked basic sales-related questions and just wanted to make sure you would be pleasant and helpful. No in-depth shoe knowledge is necessary. Not for you if you want to be a laid back sales person.
