I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Foot Locker (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2015
Interview
I received a call that said they were doing an open house interview. So if I were still interested, show up between so and so time. There were quite a few people there, I'd say at least 50. The process was broken down into three stages.
The first was the initial interview, probably lasted 5 minutes. They asked you questions about yourself, why you want to work for the company, etc. Then they'll have you sell them something "either a pen or water, a pretty basic item" I believed they used this to ween out those who can make it and those you can't.
If you make it past there, you get a one on one interview with a manager. This is a bit more formal than the first, and is pretty much like any other interview in the questions they ask. If you then pass this one, there is a third interview.
The third interview is conducted by the district manager. It was more brief than the previous one, and pretty much asks you the same questions. Also asks questions based on scenarios.
After the interview process was complete, I heard back within a week with them offering me a part time position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name one instance where being a team player helped you achieve your goal.
The interview setting is a group interview. Everyone was dressed somewhat casually and in their favourite sneakers. We were interviewed by the store manager and an assistant manager in both English and French since it was in Quebec. The questions were relatively easy, and it was easy to get your personality out there in this kind of environment.

Question 1
If an item was out of stock, how would you handle that situation with a customer?
I applied online and got a phone call a week later to do the in person interview. In person I had to visit the store and ask for the manager that contacted me.
Application
I interviewed at Foot Locker (Utrecht)
Interview
It was 10-15 minutes. Went pretty easy. They asked about me random questions and then told me about the job. The interviewer was nice and told me not to worry and that it is just general things.
