      Product Manager Interview

      28 Aug 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Foot Locker in July 2024

      Interview

The interview process at Foot Locker consists of five stages: an initial meeting with a recruiter, followed by interviews with the hiring manager, engineering lead, another director of product, and finally, the VP of product for the respective team or organization. My experience with the process was relatively swift at first, taking about a month to complete all interviews. However, after the final interview with the VP, communication stalled for over a month. I reached out to the recruiter, who informed me that they were still interviewing candidates despite the lengthy delay. After another three weeks without updates, I contacted the recruiter again. Eventually, I received the standard rejection email, stating that I was not selected for the position. I applied on June 26 and received the final decision on August 26. Initially, the process seemed smooth, but after the interviews, communication became sparse. This was my first experience where I reached the final stages of the interview process and faced such a lack of follow-up. Even when I sought insights from the recruiter I had been in contact with, I received no response. What began as a positive experience ultimately ended on a disappointing note.
