      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Forcepoint (San Diego, CA) in Oct 2018

      Interview

Got a call from their Senior Software Manager Jim Hefferon. He was asking super technical questions right out the gate after telling him my background, no behavioral questions at all. This was the toughest interview I've ever had. I would avoid working for a company where the interviewer drills you with questions and doesn't ask anything about yourself or your interests, like this one. It felt like he was asking the hardest questions possible just to weed people out that didn't perfectly line up with the interests of the company. I asked some more questions about the company, and after a few of them I said "just a few more here" and he said "Ok.." like he couldn't wait for it to be over. Then, after asking one more questions after this happened he said he didn't think he did, but actually had a hard half-hour cut off before he "had some other candidates to review" and didn't let me finish asking my questions. He said the recruiter who was in contact with me would be in touch regarding my status "very soon". Literally NOT EVEN FIVE MINUTES LATER after the interview ended I get the rejection email saying "The information you have presented has been given close review (Really? Close review?). However, we have decided to move forward with other candidates who more closely match our current requirements."

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

In as much detail and technical detail as you can, using any programming language you're comfortable with: Describe what happens when I have an input field and submit the number 50, Describe all steps of what happens when the number gets submitted and then rendered to the browser and renders 51, what happens with the code and the servers to make it return 51? How does the whole process work?
      Answer question

      Question 2

Tell me about 3 data structures you know and examples of how and why you would use them?
      Answer question
      1
