I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Formations (Edmonton, AB) in July 2011
Interview
One interview with the company president. It was a good interview with lots of positives. The setting was casual and not at all stressful. Ideas and goals were discussed from both sides.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Formations (Portland, OR) in Aug 2009
Interview
Formations seems like a really interesting company; they create the interpretive exhibits for museums. I was very excited when I got the interview, but they immediately said they'd need to make sure I was comfortable with the salary range--which I wasn't. 33-37K?? I went to the interview anyway, and it was very productive, the group I interviewed was friendly, we talked for over an hour and a half. I told them I thought the pay was very low for the level of responsibility and skill required. They agreed, but said that wasn't their decision, and asked me what I'd need to accept. I said at least 50K. Didn't get an offer, I did get a letter 6 months later saying they found someone. I thought that was nice.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There really weren't any tough questions. The group was pretty young, just asked about stuff on my resume that impressed them.
