I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Formbay in Mar 2025
Interview
I got an interview through a recruiter (who was amazing) and got in pretty quick. I did a first round interview with one person and he told me I got through to the next round on that call, so another interview was scheduled in for the following week with three people. The interview went super well, very positive and I got a call from my recruiter saying it was looking good and all they wanted to do was a scenario test the following day and that there were no other candidates at this stage in the process. They took over 24 hours to send me the invite for the scenario test and sent me no material, it got to less than 24 hours before and I had still received no preparation material for our meeting the next day (and they told my recruiter they would send it to me to give me time to prepare). The afternoon before the meeting, I get a call from my recruiter to say they emailed him and are pulling out of the process (didn't even call) and have found someone else, they simply cancelled my invite and didn't say a word to me. Terrible communication and way to handle the situation at this late stage of the interview process and asking me my notice period etc and then not even a word about it. They said they care about their people but its concerning that they would treat a potential employee this way and lack such basic communication and decency to a candidate. I understand if there are other candidates, but simple communication is how it should be. You shouldn't just cancel on someone so last minute especially with no reasoning.

Question 1
They asked me about my experience across product development and projects.
I was emailed a take-home tech-test less than a day after submitting my CV.
The test itself was difficult and intricate, and I was shocked that a company would issue such a test, without having even contacted the applicant for a phone interview.
I completed the test, and it was quite an enjoyable learning exercise, but did not send it back, as I wouldn't want to work for a company that seems to have little regard for anything other than coding ability.
