I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Forrest Bell (Liverpool, England) in Mar 2016
Interview
I travelled for over 5hrs to get there. Judging from the photos online, I thought it would be more high-end. The office building is tiny, and they were painting the walls neon green. Horrible. The applicants were told to sit in a sofa and then we were given questionnaires. The questions were the exact same that we had answered online already, so that was a complete waste of time. They also required a print-out of our CVs, which was also a waste of time considering they told me in their e-mail that they liked my CV. They kept saying how much they liked my skills and competencies, how much I would be perfect for the position. After having answered the questionnaire, I was let in on a one-on-one with a manager. I was again asked the same questions, and given a small introduction to what the job would entail, again the same job description I had already read online. After this I was told I would be contacted later in the same day. I sat and waited for a phone call, but nothing. So I travelled 5hrs back home again, thinking they might call me later in the week. The next day I composed a very nice Thank You-letter, where I thanked them for a nice interview, and I asked some follow-up questions as well. This letter was never answered either. They just gave me the cold shoulder, after having said so many times that I was perfect for the position. No explanation, nothing.
Thank you for taking the time to review Forrest Bell.
As a general rule, we only ever offer an interview to candidates who live locally to our office, or who can travel to the office in a reasonable time. We're sorry that it took you 5 hours to get to your interview with us, but due to the way we select candidates I can only assume this was due to transport issues which unfortunately we have no control over.
We wish you all the best for the future.
